As part of the Croisements Festival, the Consulate General of France in Wuhan and the French Institute of China, in collaboration with the Hunan Fine Arts Publishing House and the Faculty of Fine Arts of Hunan Normal University, are presenting an exhibition by French artist Laurent Montaron entitled ‘To tell a story - Étude sur l'imaginaire des récits'.
Laurent Montaron's exhibition, a blend of photography, visual and sound installations, examines our relationship with the world through narrative. Drawing on the archaeological dimension of representation, the exhibition explores the dual function of narrative: describing reality and telling a fiction.
