Solo show

For his first solo exhibition in Portugal, Laurent Montaron will present a body of new works made before the confinement,  together with an earlier video and a photograph, Crystal Radio and Le monde forclos. The show presents a selection of artworks spanning different mediums (photography, video, installation and sculpture) whose presence subtly points out at the existence of invisible and mysterious forces, which are  present not only in the secular domains of science and technology, but also in superstition, spirituality and religion. Laurent Montaron expands his long-term research on the paradoxes of modernity, by critically investigating the historical and contemporary interactions between these different knowledge seeking endeavours and ways of representing our experience of the world.
